2017 KACD Auxiliary Scholarships

The KACD Auxiliary has released the documents for their 3 scholarships.  All 3 scholarships are for students that will be entering the fields of agriculture or conservation of natural resources.  The George Crafton Memorial Scholarship is for high school seniors.  The Natural Resources Scholarship is for current college students.  The Betty Barrick Scholarship is for non-traditional students who are at least 25 years old.  More information and applications can be found here.

Jim Claypool Art and Conservation Writing Contests

The Jim Claypool Art and Conservation Writing contests are underway for 2016.  This year, students across Kentucky will be learning about our Commonwealth's forests.  More information about the contest can be found here.  Entries are due to the local conservation district by Dec. 1, 2016. 

2017 Envirothon

Plans are underway for the 2017 Envirothon competition. Information about the international Envirothon competition, as well as this year's current topic (agricultural soil and water conservation stewardship), can be found at the Envirothon website. Kentucky will have 2 regional competitions in April and a state competition in May.  The regional competitions will be held on April 21 (FFA Camp in Hardinsburg) and April 29 (Maywoods in Crab Orchard).  The regional competition will be held on May 17-18 (Kentucky 4-H Leadership Center near Nancy).  More information about Kentucky's competition can be found here.
