Division of Conservation
Direct Aid

The Division of Conservation disburses direct aid funding to conservation districts to support part-time or full-time district technical and administrative positions. In addition to personnel, direct aid funds also cover office support, which includes rent assistance, purchase of space, technology/computer support and utilities to counties that are no longer housed with a USDA office.

All districts are encouraged to apply for direct aid. Districts must have direct aid applications in to the Division of Conservation by April 1 of each year.  The funding levels will be decided by the Soil and Water Conservation Commission in accordance with the Districts in Good Standing Program.

If you have questions about direct aid, e-mail Katrina Beckley or call the Division of Conservation at 502-573-3080.
